In between work Ed would love to work on peoples vehicles. Some of Ed's favorite hobbies were trains and going camping with family and friends. Ed enjoyed serving the citizens of Albion. He was a Council member and remained a member of the Albion Fire Department up until his passing.

Ed is survived by his children; Kevin Waltemeyer, Randy (Mel) Waltemeyer, Paul Waltemeyer, Paula (Troy) Dunsmoor, Earl (Janice) Waltemeyer, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and neices and nephews.

I have known Ed for many years. My sister, Karen and I grew up in Albion and spent time at their house babysitting the kids. He was always working on something and helped Marilyn do crafts. I also had the pleasure of working with Ed, years later at Region6/ Peoplerides. He was a good driver and many clients would request him by name! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He will be missed.

Ron Tordoff on Nov 17, 2021

Not many men would marry a woman with 5 children but Ed did. His wife was the Love of his Life and his stepchildren were his children. Their children were his grandchildren. A good man that lived his life the way he wanted to live his life. He worked with my mother at Dunham Busch for many years. At work early and never minded staying late. Ed's life was a journey.

My brother. We should have grown up as construction workers as our father taught us construction while building our house while growing up. We learned work ethic at a young age. Ed made a life in factory work and supporting his family. Like our father, when he wasn't at work, he was working on something for himself or others.
Ed is missed and will always be remembered. His little brother - Ron

ED WAS MY EX FATHER IN LAW. HE HAD A GOOD HEART AND I'LL MISS HIM.

CandleEd was a classmate of mine and one I remember fondly. We used to walk home from school together since he lived just a bit farther west than I did. We reconnected in the last 10 - 15 years through class reunions and Facebook. Ed will be missed at our class of '73 get togethers. Rest in peace, Ed.
