Jody and Amy Anderson

Jody Anderson is owner of the Anderson Funeral Homes. He was raised in the Clinton, IA area graduating from Clinton High School in 1988. After high school Jody joined the United States Army and is a Desert Storm Veteran. Jody attended Clinton Community College, Sauk Valley Community College, and graduated from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL with a degree in Mortuary Science. Jody, his wife, Amy,and their two daughters, Lauren and Sydney reside in the Conrad Chapel. Jody is very active in the three communities he serves. He is a member of the Conrad Presbyterian Church, Marshalltown Rotary, Marshalltown Community Y, Elmwood Country Club, in Marshalltown, Oakwood Golf Course in Conrad, the Conrad American Legion, and the Marshalltown VFW. Jody also serves on the board for the Conrad Parks and Recreation. He and his family has assisted with the festival of trees in Gladbook and host several people at the Gladbrook Chapel for Gladbrooks Corn Carnival Parade. He enjoys cycling and is a RAGBRAI veteran. Most recently Jody has picked up running and finished his first marathon in October of 2012.
Amy serves as the Office Manager for all four of the Anderson Funeral Homes locations. She is a graduate of Clinton Community College. Prior to joining her husband in the funeral business she was a licensed Pharmacy Technician for 17 years and most recently was the director of the Wolf Creek Day Care. Since moving to Iowa in 2009 she has assisted the funeral homes in many aspects. Amy is excited to enter the funeral business with her husband and looks forward to serving the people of this area. Amy also manages all of her kids sporting and school activities. Therefore you can find her in her spare time on a bleacher watching her children. Recently Amy and Jody have purchased a tandem bicycle and enjoy riding it. Amy made her maiden voyage across the great state of Iowa on RAGBRAI 2012.
Richard A. “Rick” LaMasters

Richard A. “Rick” LaMasters was born and raised in Marshalltown, graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1966. Rick attended Marshalltown Community College and graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1971. Prior to attending mortuary school, he was employed at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. He later worked in funeral service in Iowa City and Waterloo before returning to Estel-Perrin-Avey in 1987. Rick then transitioned over to Vogel Funeral Homes when they purchased Estel Perrin Avey. Rick has been an asset to the funeral homes he has served. Anderson Funeral Homes is excited to have him join them for the remainder of his career. Rick most recently was recognized by the Iowa Funeral Directors Association for having his license for 40 years. Rick and his wife, Cindi, have two children and five grandchildren. In his spare time Rick enjoys fishing and traveling.
Kelley Smith has been with Anderson Funeral Homes since 2017 and is our Administrative Assistant. She was raised in Central Iowa and has two sons. Kelley enjoys baking, cooking, sewing, photography, and playing board games. She is very active in her church. Kelley loves spending time with her family and friends.
Jim Kadner lives near Conrad with his wife, Donna. They have two daughters, Shannon (Ryan) Callaway and Lisa (Travis) Hans, and four grandchildren, Cooper and Ashton Hans and Ray and Alexa Callaway. Jim is a farmer and has been a basketball official for 48 years, officiating high school and college women. Jim is currently on the Soil and Water Commission of Grundy County, and also a Felix Township Trustee. He enjoys hunting, officiating, and watching his grandchildren’s activities. Jim is also a nationally recognized FITASC (shooting official) and is on the BCLUW Foundation Board.
Jim McLeland lives in Conrad with his wife, Sue. They have five children and 13 grandchildren. Jim retired from Fisher Controls in 2009, after 43 years, and has been helping the funeral home since then. He also farms with his brother. Jim enjoys playing golf. He and his wife love camping, attending their grandchildren’s activities, theater, and taking bus trips. Jim is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad.
Craig and Rose Russell
Craig Russell was born and raised in Marshalltown and was a graduate of Marshalltown High School. He is a Vietnam Era Veteran serving four years in the United States Coast Guard. Craig retired from the Iowa DOT after 35 years of service. He now works on the grounds keeping crew at Elmwood Country Club. Craig enjoys golfing and traveling. He and his wife, Rose, have two children and five grandchildren. Craig has been associated with Anderson Funeral Homes since 2009.
Rose Russell grew up in Boxholm and is a graduate of Grand Community School. She attended DMACC receiving her degree in Secretarial Science. Rose and her husband, Craig, lived in the Gladbrook community for 38 years before downsizing and moving to Marshalltown in 2015. Rose retired from the Gladbrook-Reinbeck school system after 23 years of service in the business office and now is employed at CGA as an Administrative Assistant. She remains active with the Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook with choir, bell choir, and the Gladbrook Area H.A.N.D.S. Prayer Shawl Ministry. Craig and Rose have two children and five grandchildren. Rose enjoys quilting, scrapbooking, and traveling. Rose has been associated with Anderson Funeral Homes since 2009.
Glen Mann was born, raised, and resides in Marshalltown. He was a 1975 graduate of Marshalltown High School and joined the family farm operation in 1978. Glen continues to farm with his wife, Teri, and his youngest brother, Duane. He serves on a local bank board and is Taylor Township Trustee. Glen has two sons, Allen and Bennett. Allen teaches physical education and strength and conditioning at Marshalltown High School and is married. Bennett joined the farming operation after college and is engaged. In his free time, Glen enjoys watching the Cubs and Packers. You can also find him cruising with Teri in their restored 1970 Chevelle.e
